Union Government launches Portal to collect Non-Tax Receipts 




Arun Jaitley Union Government has launched has launched Non-Tax Receipt Portal (NTRP) to electronically collect non-tax receipts. It was launched by Union Finance minister Arun Jaitley as part of Union Government’s flagship Digital India campaign. Currently, non-tax revenues are collected by physical instruments such as bank draft or cheque or cash. This portal will reduce a lot of manual work now.







BHEL commissions 101 MW power plant in Tripura


BHEL
State-run Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has commissioned a 101 MW (Mega Watt) gas-based Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP) at Monarchak (near Agartala) in Tripura. The plant was commissioned on basis of Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) based on the order placed by North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited (NEEPCO).






India, Sweden ink MoU on Technical Cooperation in Rail Sector  


India-SwedenUnion Ministry of Railways and Ministry of Enterprise and Innovation of Sweden have inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Technical Cooperation in Rail Sector. The main objective of MoU is to develop cooperation activities in the Railway sector to promote efficiency and sustainability and to achieve concrete results with regard to bilateral trade, research, investment and technology transfer.





Tiruchirapalli city wins Behavioural Change Communication Award 

Tiruchirapalli city
Tiruchirapalli city in Tamil Nadu has won best city performer in Behavioral change Communication Award. The award was bestowed upon Trichy city commissioner Vijayalakshmi from Union Minister of urban Development Venkaiah Naiadu in the Swach Sarvekshan function.
