Serena Williams won Wimbledon women's singles title. This was her sixth Wimbledon women's singles title. By this won Serena Williams won fourth Grand Slam championship in a row.
Serena Williams defeated Garbine Muguruza by 6-4, 6-4 to clinch this title.

Actor Omar Sharif passed away. He was 83 years old. He belonged to Egypt and was best known for his portrayal of Doctor Zhivago in the hit 1966 film.
He was among the most famous actor from the Arabic world and has a great fame in Hollywood too. He won an Oscar-nomination for best supporting actor for his role in film Lawrence of Arabia.
