India and Mauritius ink five MoUs to boost bilateral co-operation


India and Mauritius have inked 5 Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) to give new impetus to bilateral co-operation. These MoUs were signed in Port Luis, Mauritius during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to island nation as part of three-nation tour of Seychelles, Mauritius and Sri Lanka for cementing strategic partnership with these island courtiers.

Delhi government decided to enhance financial powers of bureaucrats


Administrative secretaries will now be able to clear, the works and schemes which cost up to 10 crore rupees without taking nod from the Finance Department. The existing cap was 5 crore rupees.

India and Seychelles signed four agreements to boost security cooperation


Modi also launched the Coastal Surveillance Radar Project in Seychelles, describing it as another symbol of the cooperation between the two countries.

Indian Railways signed MoU with LIC for implementing Railway projects


Under this MoU, LIC will make available a Financial Assistance of 150000 crore rupees to the Indian Railways for implementing Railway projects.

Union Government appointed Nine Executive Directors in Public Sector Banks


The appointments were approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet on the recommendation of selection panel headed by the Reserve Bank of India Governor Raghuram Rajan.
